Are you looking for something that really just sounds like you’re hosting a sound ceremony yourself when you play it? If so, then the Generation 7 Handpans are definitely for you.

The Generation 7 Handpan by NovaPans Introducing the Generation 7 Handpan by NovaPans Handpans. The Generation 7, also known as our "Gen 7" or "Sound Healing Handpan" was first introduced to the NovaPans Store in 2020 and has since swooped the Sound Healing Communities off their feet. People struggle to believe that a handpan, never mind at the price that we make them, can have a sustain that is just that amount longer than others which makes it so majestic, yet warm and rich-sounding. In fact, many first-time buyers end up purchasing even a second and third Generation 7 Handpan to add to their collection! We have received such high appraisal for the Gen 7s from sound healers, sound journey and meditation holders, and people who just want to take themselves on their own sound-induced meditation or calming effects of the gentle yet fully space-holding frequencies of the Gen 7.

Specification Descriptions

Key / Tonality / Scale
We offer all the available handpan scales such as the Kurd, Amara/Celtic, Pygmy, Sabye, Hijaz, Aegean/Lydian, Halcyon, La Sirena, Mystic, in all tonalities starting from low F2 all the way up to F#3. As with color selection, if there is a scale of choice you wish for but cannot find on our page, please message us and we can custom-make it for you! You will notice that the Generation 7s come in the largest selection of handpan keys out of all our handpans. This all comes down to the fact that our Generation 7s are made out of stainless steel which is a metal with greater control and stability over its shaping and therefore tuning. For some, the process of choosing a key can be daunting and even overwhelming so please message us should you have any difficulties whatsoever. For help comparing and therefore choosing the right scale for you, feell free to contact us directly.

Frequencies
432hz, 440hz, 442hz and 444hz. You may have heard of the 432hz frequency, and if so, then you'll know that most instruments today are tuned to the 440hz and that the 432hz is rather the frequency tuning of nature, otherwise known as "The Miracle Frequency". 442hz (whose C#6 note reaches 1111hz) and 444hz have associations with DNA healing and other somatic benefits worth researching. Some claim there to be no difference but just like colors on a handpan, changes in frequencies are just as important. All frequencies have their own healing properties which have richer explanations online.

Dimensions
24 X 57 cm / 9.4 X 22.4 inches (height x diameter). Our handpans are the most common size of handpan (not too tall or too wide) but fit nicely and rest comfortably on the lap of an average-sized grown adult. Children or smaller individuals might need assistance with someone just holding the handpan while they are sitting on a chair or just simply putting a cushion on the floor and playing it like that without assistance.

Steel
Stainless Steel handpans are considered an upgrade to traditional Nitride Steel Handpans (which were the norm from 2000-2020). Stainless Steel has less malleability or in other words, is "stronger" which is the very reason why on our Generation 7s the notes are a lot more sustained than our other models.

A History of NovaPans Handpans
All of NovaPans Handpans are hand-tuned and quality-checked by professionals from Europe and the USA who are situated in China and previously, in Vietnam and Ukraine. Instead of an underpriced handpan from China that hasn't met quality standards or an overpriced handpan from home whose price and availability is just questionable, NovaPans sits somewhere in the middle, making affordable handpans that meet quality requirements. The combination of handpan production expertise where quality production is a reality with a larger team allows NovaPans to not only create high-quality handpans, but to make them in a matter of weeks (vs months). Despite the widespread misinformation that you must spend thousands, wait months/years, and only purchase locally in order to even touch a quality handpan is simply not true. NovaPans has sold well over 3000 handpans worldwide since 2016 and received the highest reviews on all platforms to reflect this. NovaPans continues to break the boundaries and redefine how much we need to spend in order to obtain a quality musical instrument. We continue to prioritize our customers' financial, personal, and range of selection needs before anything else. Welcome to NovaPans Handpans, putting people before pockets.

Disclaimers
☆ All handpans are produced, shipped, and delivered within 4-7 weeks from the date of purchase with free worldwide shipping and a trackable reputable courier (such as UPS, FedEx, or DPD). All orders are made-to-order.
☆ Every handpan may display signs of tuning marks to some extent which is a natural production trait considering that all of our handpans are hand-tuned. These are not scratches but in fact, very subtle indents that are practically non-visible unless scrutinized (tuning “dimples”).
☆ All of our handpans are hand-tuned and any handpan that doesn't sound proportionally in tune within a 5-10 cents tuning threshold (noticeable by the human ear) does not pass our quality check and is immediately returned for retuning.
☆ We offer a 30-day return policy (or as stipulated in our policy) but also make exceptions under special circumstances. Please get in touch with us immediately should you have any issues.

All the price included $500 non-refundable custom fee for each custom handpan.

About NovaPans Handpans

All of NovaPans Handpans are hand-tuned and built in China and quality-checked by professionals from Europe and the USA.

The combination of handpan production expertise where quality mass production is a reality allows NovaPans to not only create high-quality handpans, but to make them in quantity. Despite the widespread misinformation that you must spend thousands or wait months/years in order to even touch a quality handpan, this is just not true.

NovaPans has sold well over 3000 handpans since 2016 and received the highest reviews on all platforms to reflect this. NovaPans continues to break the boundaries of how much we need to spend in order to get a quality musical instrument, or dare we say, a quality musical instrument we can at least get started on!

We continue to prioritize our customers' financial, personalization, and range of selection needs first before anything else.

When can I get my order?

For Standard Shipping, where we will ship you one of our in-stock models, expect to receive your handpan approximately 1-2 weeks after placing your order.

For Pre-Orders, where we will custom build your handpan for you, it can take from 3-4 weeks for our 9 and 10 note models and 4-5 weeks for our 13 note models to build and deliver.

Please note that in some cases we may need additional time when building your handpan as we strive to ensure it is built and tuned to the highest quality standards.

How do I maintain my handpan?

It’s a good idea to occasionally clean your handpan with a microfibre cloth, ideally after each use.

It's also important to regularly apply oil to your handpan, particularly for Nitrided Steel models, to prevent rust. We recommend Phoenix oil, but there are other options if you don't have it. Remember, a little oil goes a long way!

Store your handpan in a cool, dry place since moisture can damage metal. Ideally, keep it in its case for added protection.

Check out our article on caring for your handpan in the Australian climate for tips on natural hazards to avoid, helping to ensure your instrument's longevity!

How do I learn to play the handpan?

We have numerous handpan song tutorials for beginners and advanced players alike available on our site in the Tutorials section.

We also have a complete free handpan course available with over ten lessons created by David from NovaPans.

Disclaimer

☆ Every handpan may display signs of tuning marks to some extent which is a natural production trait considering that all of our handpans are hand-tuned. These are not scratches but in fact, very subtle indents and practically non-visible unless scrutinized.

☆ It is not uncommon to use an electronic tuner and notice a slight microtonal offset for any of your handpan notes. This is actually the case with all handpans and is not a reflection of quality in any way. No handpan which doesn't sound proportionally in tune within a 5-10 cents tuning threshold (which is noticeable by the human ear) does not pass our quality check and is returned for retuning.
